John Walsh, from the television show “America’s Most Wanted,” was in Tucson on Oct. 6, 1989 to film a segment at Old Tucson. It was not the usual story about a fugitive on the run, but rather the show was honoring the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Walsh, whose young son Adam had been kidnapped and murdered, told how the show supplemented the work of law enforcement. A month earlier the program had featured a high profile Tucson double murder case.
