BRUCE MCCLELLAND / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1989
For the more than 5,000 fans who attended the Reba McEntire concert on Oct 12, 1989, it was a great evening. The singer's hour- long set consisted of many of the songs from a recently released album. The Star reviewer felt that her material was a bit mundane, except for her interpretations of "Sweet Dreams" and "Respect." Eddie Rabbitt, who preceded McEntire, received a bit more praise. "Rabbitt's such an endearing performer," the review said, "that even his worn-out, between-song shtick and patter seemed fun."
